Our Policies

To protect our clients and stylists at BASSIA BASSIA, we are taking extra measures to ensure the salon is up to the highest standards to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. 

Please take a moment to read through the procedures and sign the waiver at the bottom before you book your appointment. 

BOOKINGS

Our booking process now requires entering your credit card information to book an appointment. We also require this signed waiver acknowledging that you’ve read our procedures.  

Even though we encourage you to make the correct appointment while booking, we also understand that there could be unforeseen add-on services during your appointment. Should that become the case, we can scan your card or charge a saved card on your account (with your consent) for the additional services at the time of your appointment. 

If you want to change your hair drastically or think your appointment might take extra time, please let your stylist know ahead of time and have an email or text consultation with your stylist to ensure you are booked for the correct services.

TIPS

Tips are not accepted on cards at this time, though this is subject to change. We are still accepting cash tips, but encourage other forms of electronic payments such as Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, Apple Pay, etc. 

CANCELLATIONS

We allow cancellations up to 24 hours before your appointment. We kindly ask that you reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a 50% late cancellation charge. Appointments that are missed without cancellation are considered “no shows”, you will be charged the full service amount.

REBOOKINGS

We ask that you kindly consider how negatively impactful last minute cancellations can be to our stylists. If you have to rebook due to a positive COVID test, or other COVID-related reasons, you must rebook 14+ days after your original appointment date. A fee will not be applied to clients that have received a positive COVID test. 

RUNNING LATE TO YOUR APPOINTMENT

We understand that life happens, which is why we allow a 10 minute grace period. If you are running late, please text your stylist directly to let them know so they can plan accordingly. If you are more than 10 minutes late, you may be considered a late cancellation. We are no longer allowed to overlap our appointments, so we ask that you please be considerate of our other clients booked that day.

REDUCED CAPACITY

Our salon is currently operating at 50% volume so please bear with us as we navigate solutions to provide you with exceptional services while we work around the new restrictions.

POST COLOR BLOW DRIES

With capacity laws restricting us from using assistants safely and legally, we sadly can no longer guarantee you will always receive a full blow dry with your color service if your appointment is taking longer than expected, so that we can continue to service all clients as scheduled each day. 

However, if you are sure that you need a blow dry after your color service, you can secure extra time with your stylist by booking a post-color blow-dry on Bassia Bassia’s website for an additional fee. 

The reason for this add-on fee is because new COVID laws are omitting the use of assistants by restricting appointment overlaps which is increasing the time of all color services. We ask for your understanding, patience, and want to thank you in advance for your continuous support. Until client overlap restrictions have been lifted and the salon is functioning at normal capacity, we will offer styling such as braids, buns, and ponytails if there is no additional time left in your appointment for a full blow dry.

PRIOR TO ARRIVAL- VACCINATION PROOF

We now require proof of vaccination for all appointments. Please confirm vaccination status with your stylist beforehand for a more seamless experience.

** If you are immunocompromised and are unvaccinated as a result, please contact your stylist directly to see if we are able to accommodate the situation in a way that ensures safety for all parties. **

ARRIVING TO THE SALON

  • Since we follow a sanitization process before and after appointments, and to limit the amount of clients inside the salon at one time,  we are required to ask you to wait outside until we are ready for you (hint: there’s also a coffee shop next door). Once we have properly sanitized, we will come get you. You must be wearing a face mask before entering and during your entire appointment.

  • We will take your temperature before you can enter the salon. If your temperature is above 99 degrees, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment, and you may be charged a late cancellation fee. 

  • If your temperature is in the normal range, we will ask you to come inside and wash your hands for a minimum of 20 seconds. We will also have hand sanitizer available for you throughout your time at BASSIA BASSIA. 

DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT

  • Both client and stylist will be wearing face masks for the entire duration of the appointment.

  • If you need to take your mask off to drink a beverage you’ve brought into the salon with you, please let your stylist know so they can social distance while you take a drink. 

  • Should you decide to violate our COVID procedures during your appointment, you may be charged for your appointment and asked to leave the salon. We know that these measures are drastic, but we take our health and our clients’ health very seriously. 

  • We are currently allowing one client per stylist/colorist at any given time. Please do not bring extra guests with you, as only the client may be allowed in the salon. Additional guests will be asked to wait outside. 

  • Unfortunately, we no longer allow food indoors during appointments but encourage clients to bring their own water bottles and beverages.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

  • Face masks are required for all clients and BASSIA BASSIA staff members. We can provide you with a new mask if you need one during your appointment. 

  • We will also exercise hand washing for a minimum of 20 seconds before, during, and after your appointment.

  • We will be providing all of our clients with freshly laundered t-shirts, and/or disposable capes.

  • Hand sanitizer will be available at every station.
